James is the fourth generation of the Oberg family to join the business. James has held his real estate license since 2007 and has vast experience in the Lakes Region. He enjoys all that comes with Lake living and specializes in lakefront real estate.

Pete is the third generation of Obergs to preside over the Oberg Insurance and Real Estate Agency. He has been a Real Estate and Insurance Agent for over 40 years and is very involved with the Lakes Region Community. He is presently the President of the Bridgton High School Scholarship Foundation, serves on the town Revitalization Committee, Bridgton's Waste Water Management Committee and other various boards
Pete graduated from the University of Maine and heads up the insurance division of the agency and is also the Designated Broker on the Real Estate side.

Charlotte Gill - Real Estate Agent - ME & NH
A resident of Fryeburg, Maine, Charlotte serves Maine’s western lakes and mountains region and New Hampshire’s Mt Washington Valley region. She is an ideal guide for those seeking a residential property or land in this corner of northern New England with its pristine lakes, rugged mountains, and access to numerous outdoor activities.
Before relocating to Maine from New York City, Charlotte developed a career with major book publishers, where, among other achievements, she won the Barnes and Noble National Account Representative of the Year award.

Howard Hatch - Real Estate Agent
Howard has been professionally involved with the real estate industry for many years. He has worked as a builder, developer, and fine furniture designer. His work can be found in many fine homes and institutions nationwide. In 2014 he transitioned to Real Estate Sales. With a degree in Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology, he is attuned to what home buyers are looking for and can analyze and present a property creatively to stand out from the crowd and achieve the highest price for its seller. A natural people person, he intuitively understands the needs of his clients and makes even the most complicated transaction enjoyable.
Howard has lived in different areas surrounding Bridgton for 40 years. First in neighboring Conway, New Hampshire and more recently in Portland, Maine. When not at work, he teaches a woodworking course at the Maine State Prison and enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking and biking in the mountains and swimming in beautiful lakes and rivers (it’s a New Hampshire thing!). Tracey Lopez - Real Estate Agent
Tracey is no stranger to the process of finding “where you belong.” She started vacationing in the Lakes Region in 1995 when she and her husband built a second home on Highland Lake. In 2011, after years of living in the hustle and bustle of Massachusetts and the New Hampshire seacoast area, they made the leap and moved to Bridgton full-time to raise their children and live the way life should be.
She holds an interior design degree from Newbury College, as well as degrees from UNH and Lesley University. She has worked in various occupations in the Boston area and NH, and has been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Bridgton Public Library children’s story time, and the Homeschoolers of Maine. She enjoys traveling with her family and experiencing different peoples and cultures, along with hiking, skiing, or snow shoeing with her yellow lab, Hunter.

COMPANY TIMELINE
We have grown since 1934, with each generation adding a new touch.
Established in 1934 - by George M. Oberg Sr. (first generation US born citizen, family immigrated from Norway). George served as Postmaster in Bridgton before starting his own insurance & real estate agency. He was very active in his community and was on the road to a career in state politics before his tragic passing at the age of 37.
1937 - The business was taken over by George's wife, Florence Oberg. Florence was a woman before her time, as she ran the insurance & real estate agency and raised 3 children after the passing of George (George Jr., Virginia & Ronald). All this while teaching Home Economics at the Bridgton High School. She was a pioneer for working women in the region.
1950 - George M. Oberg Jr. ("Milt") joined the business after serving in the army during WWII (Pacific Theater) and then attending University of Maine Orono. George married Ruth Oberg in 1950. Ruth Oberg was involved in various aspects of the business and together she and Milt raised 3 children Peter, Steven and Karen.
1976 - Peter Oberg joined the business after attending the University of Maine Orono. He married Judy Oberg in 1982. Judy joined the agency as a real estate agent in 1998. They both raised 2 children Hallory and James.
2016 - James Oberg joins the agency after attending Bentley University and working for 6 years in Boston for Liberty Mutual Insurance. James is married to Laura Oberg and they have 3 children, Jackson, Jayne & Luke.
